Mygoth - I am so with you right now, and I know exactly where you're at, because the exact same thing happened with me and my mom.

I can feel it all with you.

You are a strong, strong person who showed deep and abiding love at the best time, you were the guardian at the gate that you spoke of, and there was no one better to be the bridge for your mother right then.

Thanks, y'all. I really appreciate all the kind comments and words and emails; they mean a lot to me. The memorial service was yesterday; it was beautiful and we followed it with a wake that went on into the wee hours. I'm going to miss her very much; she was an amazing and wonderful lady. I think I'm still in shock; I just don't believe she's gone. It's going to be a rough for a long time.
