Trailer Trash. Man, do I love this. A music video made of scenes from a Warner Herzog film, set to the sounds of a great track from my favorite Modest Mouse album.→[More:]

But I don't love it for the sources, I love it because it's a great freakin' video. I first saw it not knowing where the images came from, but loving the song... he chose the exact right movie and the exact right scenes to make something better than the band itself could have done, had they been able to afford videos back then.

FWIW, I bought this movie on DVD after seeing this video, and it arrived this week. I'm hoping to check it out this weekend. I wonder if it will rock as much without the Modest Mouse.

Stroszek is such an odd little movie. I love it.

I didn't realize it until recently after I saw Control, but apparently Stroszek was the movie that Ian Curtis watched on TV before hanging himself.

Well, don't put too much stock in legends like that, syntax... I've also heard he hung himself with side 2 of Iggy Pop's The Idiot playing. I'm not sure I buy into either idea.

I'm seriously looking forward to Stroszek though.

matteo, why don't you just make a post that says "I HATE EVERYTHING YOU LIKE AND I LOOK DOWN ON YOU FROM A GREAT HEIGHT" and be done with it. It'll save keystrokes.

Anyone seen Herzog's new film about the Antarctic? It did turn up in a reasonably close theater, but I think I missed my chance. It sounded interesting.

Hey BP? I hate Harmony Korine's work also. I mean, hate on the same level that I hate Aphex Twin's Come To Daddy stuff. It's just wrong and awful.
