The DNC Roll Call Anyone else watching? Bless the news channels for providing live feeds on their websites!
I love madness, it looks right up my alley, I wish I was there.

Yes. I'm watching.

Ooh, Florida!

Good ole' Florida!

What does it mean that California passed? Does that means that California wants to be the one to put Obama over the mark?
posted by ThePinkSuperhero 27 August | 17:08
No. It means that California has more delegates for Obama. They don't want to embarrass by saying Clinton had more votes than Obama.

Illinois passed because they will be the one that puts Obama over the top.
posted by LoriFLA 27 August | 17:13
Ok, IL just passed, too. I bet CA and IL will go at the end, giving IL the chance to put their Sen. Barack Obama over the mark.

California has more delegates for Obama.

oops, scratch that. They have more votes for Clinton.
posted by LoriFLA 27 August | 17:14
Clinton won Kentucky, but they just went 36-24 for Obama because Clinton released the delegates.

I'm wearing my red hat, and waving my flag! Yay America!

I love how the chair/secretary is so positive and nice. Some of these people mumble into the microphone, you can barely understand.

Massachusetts is coming up. Clinton won Massachusetts by a landslide. It will be interesting to hear the vote count. I think that it's going to be close.

Wonkette is liveblogging the roll call. "This convention has been an unmitigated disaster." I cannot stop loling.

Missouruh?

The Wonkette thing is absolutely hilarious.

New Hampshire is up now. My husband's home state. I think this is going to be close...

Wow, all 30 for Obama from NH! That was a very Hillary state!

Exciting, exciting! New Jersey is unanimous!

Just got home, and caught NJ (they're showing it on PBS here). This is surprisingly exciting!

Isn't it though?
posted by ThePinkSuperhero 27 August | 17:41
I totally lost track of what this New Mexico guy is talking about.
posted by ThePinkSuperhero 27 August | 17:43
NM guy was confusing.

Hahah, Daley just called a Cubs-Sox series.

Run New York, run! Illinois just passed it NY. They are literally Hillary Clinton through the crowd

Sorry if I'm spoiling this for you, TPS. You seem to have a delay.
posted by LoriFLA 27 August | 17:44
Boo ya! Double yield! I freakin' love it!

Haha.

I love that the live feed just showed the woman (not the secretary, the other one) announcing that Barack Obama accepted the nomination, and will give a speech accepting tomorrow. Then, a guy walks over and says, ok, that was just for practice, we'll come back and do it again after the break. Yup, there she is again!
posted by ThePinkSuperhero 27 August | 17:53
It is exciting. This time it really is history in the making. Every year the election is touted as the "most important election of our time", Change! yadadadada. This election is extremely exciting and I think this is the only time I've watched a roll call without yawning.

Cool, that you're watching a live feed, TPS.
posted by LoriFLA 27 August | 17:57
Oh, that was too much excitement for one day. I think I need to go lay down for awhile.
posted by ThePinkSuperhero 27 August | 18:01
I cannot. Believe. I missed. Roll Call.

This is the part of the convention I was waiting for, and where was I? AT A PARTY. Ridiculous.
