I don't know how this happened but my favorite pop-rocker, The Rocket Summer, had his album cover design featured in a Barack Obama caricature image in Time magazine.→[More:] I really didn't think he was that famous, I guess someone on staff at Time has a teenage daughter?

That, or someone was roaming around on the internet looking for "bands the kids like," was struck by the cover image, and didn't realize this artist was relatively obscure.

I honestly don't know if he's obscure or not- I guess he's not that obscure, he's had his videos played on TRL on MTV. But he's also an artist whose has songs with a Christian message- he's signed to a mainstream label, but he has songs where Jesus is mentioned, he's not shy about talking about Christianity. You'll note that some of the commenters on the MySpace blog don't seem to like Obama very much, and I think that's probably the Christian fan base talking.
