Two new bands I actually like! Too bad I'm a gazillion miles away. Although the A train may stop in Atlanta before Far Rockaway. I'm not sure.

Speaking of The Hold Steady, what do folks think of the new cd? I love it, but sort of hate myself for loving it because it's so. . .so. . .over the top? I feel like I shouldn't but I do. I'm going to play it at lunch.

The tickets are bought. Yee-ha!

We can put up a few folks at Chez BP, if needed- one extra double bed, plus a couple of couches. (But you can't be allergic to cats.) There are hotels right downtown next to the venue too, though, as BoP can attest from previous visits.

(On preview: I know nothing about the Hold Steady or their music; I'm going for DBT and bunnies.)
