Grape Pie Has anyone here ever tried this? What did you think?
Your link goes to a grinning hippie lying on his back in Golden Gate Park....

No, I've never tried telling a reporter that my name is Oliver Clothezoff.

Holy shit, jrossi, excellent catch.

oops. How about this one?

I guess I'm a wet blanket, because I sent them an email and they're nixing old Oliver's identification.

And I have never had grape pie.

awww- mudpuppie, why?!

Mostly I wanted to laugh at them, but I guess I shouldn't have done it to their face. Sorry. :(

This guy is presently cursing you, mudpuppie, even though he has no idea who you are. I hope that he cached the original page.

Nice going sister. . . .*smile*

If it's any consolation, I signed the email "I.P. Freely."

You missed a perfect chance to pin this on Hugh Janus.

I have also never had grape pie, but often wonder why I never see it. That and pear pie. Pears are so good...why not a pie?

There are lots of pear tarts, though.

I wonder if it's because the amount of cooking that pies usually take would end up giving you pear mush. Though there are firmer pears out there, so I don't know.

The secret of grandma's apple pie is always pears.

i see it all as a product of surplus, grapes and pears have lots of uses outside of pies.

What one does with gooseberries besides tarts and preserves, i don't know.

Summer is ending; what foods do we gorge on before it all goes away?
Hell, i haven't had a truly decent tomato yet.

I've been disappointed in most of the tomatoes this year, too. Sad. I did have a couple truly stellar ones, but they were the exception, alas.

scuppernongs! what a great word. I have no idea what it means. I think if I google it because it'll ruin the joy of it.
