Here's my public profile! Etsy is growing on me, indeed. It's fun to browse when I have a few spare minutes. I'm keeping my eyes open for Christmas gifts for my always-hard-to-shop-for family.

I'm about to. I have a bunch of vintage stuff to sell, and eBay's going through so many annoying changes that I'd rather do it through Etsy. Plus I think the stuff I have stands a better chance of being used creatively.

I love these sellers - weird ceramics, weird cotton figurines, sweet little embroidered collages, beautiful ttv photos, awesome collages and weird doll robot things, adorable little hand-carved stamps.

Neat stuff, iconomy. I have visited that photo shop many times. I think I used to have, or do have, one of her photos as a favorite. Those stamps are too cute.

I love Etsy, but I find it overwhelming sometimes. For example, I would love to buy some art for my office, but there are just so many options to wade through. But I am looking forward to checking out all of your favorites.

I'm not a seller, but I've definitely got some favs. Here are two dear friends' pages (retro-inspired plus-size clothing and art, respectively), and here are two jewelry-makers I like, and here are some folks who make wallets from custom-messenger-bag scraps.

Just for shits and giggles, here's a wiki of the top sellers on Etsy. It's amazing to me how many of them sell supplies and cheap novelty things, like plastic charms, Swedish fortune-telling fish (which are admittedly completely awesome) cupcake toppers, Mexican jumping beans, stickers, and the like. The kind of stuff you find in Cracker Jack boxes. Like this seller - she has the funnest stuff. (some nekkid wimmenz in that link)

Supplies, vintage and handmade are the 3 acceptable categories at Etsy. These novelty items fall into the supply category because artists repurpose them for their mixed media pieces and their jewelry and things.

Oh god, do I ever.

I love this "feltidermy", beaded spheres, and these handwoven clothes.

My favorite thing to shop for is letterpress stuff, I love pretty much anything letterpress, and etsy has craptons.

I've only bought one thing that was complete crap and didn't even have the guts to leave them a negative review. It was this hat and it was made like shit; the sewing is all bunchy and mangled and not symmetrical, and for some reason (logic, I like to think) I assumed the brim would be firm, but it's just a floppy little piece of crap. Like, why even have a brim.

One of my favorite things are these knitted frog and rat dissections. Someone else does decoupaged russian nesting dolls that I love too. If you decide to check out her stuff there's nudity on some of her pages.

But my friend sells terribly rude and insulting (yet quite well-designed) greeting cards. This one is my favorite.

I bought so much wedding stuff from Etsy - I like it because everything is unique, and the sellers are in general very accomodating. I've never been disappointed with the quality of product, either.

The frog and the cards are perfect!

I've bought stitch markers. And a pattern or two but I can't right now remember which. I love Etsy. It's got one stop shopping awesomeness.

I love Etsy, but I've only really shopped for clothes. Because if I started in on jewellery and other stuff I would likely spend my entire pay on Etsy, and have to keep my lovely purchases in my hobo shopping trolley.
