No more Stow →[More:]
Tomorrow Walthamstow Stadium closes, the Chandler family having sold it to housing developers. It's a lovely old Deco building, built in 1933, and the neon sign can be seen for miles around. The sign will be kept, and I'm hoping the developers will do something similar to the Highbury Stadium development, where the Deco facade is retained and the new flats built within. Wishful thinking, I expect the bulldozers will be there soon enough.

Most of the dogs will race at other stadiums. There's also a big rehoming programme for retired dogs. They make lovely pets.

I celebrated my birthday there this year, along with a few bunnies. It was fun.
