Longshot question about a song [More:]There is a song that I used to like in the eighties. It was an eighties alternative song. A song that wasn't played on the radio, at least not around here. It was a female singer. The song sort of reminds me of Cyndi Lauper's When You Were Mine, but edgier and angstier if that makes sense. It is not sung by Cyndi Lauper. I remember the song being about lesbian lovers and/or getting used and hurt by a lover. It has sexual innuendo. I cannot remember any of the lyrics. I heard the song again last year in Anthropologie. It's killing me.
Cristina?

Not Cristina. Thanks for the suggestion, Helbient.

I'm trying to think of some of the lyrics. I think in the chorus there is some whispering. I could be wrong.

The two that spring to mind are Joan Armatrading - Weakness and
Sophie B Hawkins - Damn, I wish I Was your Lover but I don't know how alternative either was.

No to both, although I like both of those songs!

Thanks, iconomy. It might be a good thing I can't find it. I only hear it about once every five years and I appreciate it when I do. :-)

I know a lot of 80s music, but that's a tough one without more info. If you knew any of the lyrics it would help :)

Yeah, lyrics would help. My head is filled with mush. I can't remember anything lately. :) Hopefully I'll hear it again.
