So I was born in the Falls, and spent my early years in little italy there. Here are the best Niagara Falls ladders I've been privy to. I don't know why this creativity only pours out in the form of ladders, but it does. And they are awesome.

The basic: backing up your conversion van or RV, climbing the back ladder, standing on top, and applying christmas lights.

The creative: putting a sturdy chair in the bed of your pickup, climbing up, applying christmas lights.

The advanced: "borrowing" the rusted out fire escape sitting in the airshaft of your last apartment building, removing the ladder portion, leaning it against your new house, and applying a new roof.
(the last is the boyfriend of one of my best friends.)

The goth: putting on your largest platform boots, standing on tall chair, changing lightbulbs. (yeah, that's me)

What odd bits of creativity have your caught people applying?

After Hurricane Hugo hit our home in North Carolina, the family of volunteer firefighters and wood cutters who lived on our long, sparsely-populated street came over to help cut the many, many trees that were blocking the road. At one point, My. Carriker was on the top step of an 8-foot step ladder, in the back of a pickup, using a chainsaw at the full extent of his arms' reach, overhead, on a small tree that was bowed in half, and which, of course, snapped violently upon being cut through. Then he said "Ken, why don't you back the truck up 'bout 5 feet?" Ken, thankfully, said "Diddy, I think you'd better get down from there first."
