I think the words you're looking for are, "I wish I had thought of it first."
It's amazingly well-excecuted, and getting a lot of exposure in the indie wedding community. Plus, who can resist a couple who looks so happy? Certainly not me.
I went to a friend's wedding, and while they didn't do the costumes, all the music, including the march was from Star Wars, and there were huge ice sculptures, one in the shape of Darth Vader and one in the shape of Leia.
...
I was always a little suspicious of them after that, hehe.
Good heavens. Not my taste and I would have a touch of the fremdschämen were I a guest. But hey, most brides are essentially in costume already so.
(fremdschämen means "being embarrassed on behalf of or for another person"--sure, it's pretentious to use it, but I like it; you can all have the fremdschämen on my behalf now)
Yeah, I guess I don't see the difference between "Wedding as a carefully planned and costumed theater based on traditional but archaic conventions" and "wedding as a carefully planned and costumed theater based on Geeky Hobby Of My Choice."
That looks like fun. I've been to lots of weddings over the years and the only ones that I really remember are the cheap and cheerful, not quite normal ones. The ones that cost a lot and had the big church and the big hall just blur into one.
... he's clearly above all this star wars silliness in his DENIM SUIT, DENIM SUIT, DENIM SUIT....OMG IS THAT A DENIM SUIT AND WAISTCOAT? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
