Cool knitting patterns for babies? →[More:]A very close friend just had twins, and I'd like to make something for them. She's not your conventional mum: she loves her shouty music (she named her son after Link Wray, and wears her salt & pepper mohawk with pride at 37), and has chosen to do this on her own. She's also a chef. So here's my question to all the cool craftsters and hip mamas here: where should I look for cool/interesting knitting patterns for babies? Do you have any suggestions for things that would be useful for a new mum? I'm a reasonably skilled knitter, so textured or multicoloured patterns aren't a problem. I'll be buying her some inexpensive preemie outfits, but would like to make something that has a longer lifespan, preferably something she can keep. Thanks!
