LT Is On Vacation With His Family In Northern California! →[More:]
I'm here in Petaluma, CA with nearly all of my relatives to be a part of my sister's wedding tomorrow on Saturday.
I have been put in charge of the music for the event, and had to show my sister and her soon-to-be husband how to use iTunes and Rhapsody to get their songs downloaded and burned onto CD.
I chalk this up to a generational thing, even though my sister is only 7 years older than I am. Generational in that there is an imaginary dividing line between "thems that knows the internets" and "thems that dont's" and by internets, I'm referring to the whole raft of internet apps like iTunes, Facebook, et al.
Still and all, it's amazing to be in California again. I got homesick just hanging out on the airporter shuttle island at SFO after I landed.
So, yeah, that's all for now.
Oh, and I really had to clamp down on asserting my personal taste for the music. Down, simba! It's okay that people want to listen to the Beatles and Aretha Franklin all night on the dancefloor.
really, it's okay. I won't be put off by not getting to introduce someone's 80-year old grandma to the mashup pleasures of DJ Lobsterdust.
