Damn you cat litter cardboard box makers! Ouch![More:]

Thursday night I went down to the basement to clean the cat litter box as I do most nights. After scooping the box out I picked up the new cardboard box of litter to move it next to the cat box. The left handle ripped out thus shifting the whole weight of the box to my right hand and I lost my grip on it and the corner of the bottom of the box landed it's full 25 kg on the first joint of my right big toe.

It didn't break anything but it sure did hurt like an SOB and now I have shin splints from walking with my right foot turned in to keep the weight off my toe.

This is just a "Damn you, you lint eating, mother sodomizing, inadequate cardboard cat litter box making turds!"
You know, when I scanned the first line of your post, I thought you were talking about a cardboard litter box (as in, y'know, a litter box, used by cats, made of cardboard), and I was thinking "Well, THAT'S never going to work, no wonder you're upset!"

Hope your lower extremities recover soon!

The 50lb/23kg bags of my cat's brand of litter was on sale. I usually get the smaller bags since they're more manageable but the deal was too good to give up. Trying to easily pour a giant bag of kitty litter has been a treat. Although I've spared my toes, I did manage to dump about 20 pounds of litter on the ground when I lost grip of the bag.

None of this would be necessary if my cats would just learn to use the toilet.
