You're invited to a Sandwich Party! →[More:] My friend Jagosaurus and I are hosting our second online Sandwich Party, and you're all invited!

What's a Sandwich Party, you ask? Check out the first Sandwich Party, described here and here.

Participation is simple: sometime between Friday, July 25th, and Sunday, July 27th, you post an entry on your own blog or journal describing a sandwich. Your sandwich can be simple or posh, homemade or storebought, openfaced or triple-decker, vegetarian or hamtacular! You decide.

You can post a recipe, a memory, a critique, or a story about your goofy great-aunt who used to make this sandwich for a midnight snack. Then leave a comment (including a link to your entry) here or here, and Jag and I will round up of all the sandwiches in one big Sandwich Party post, linking back to the various entries.

Don't have a blog? Post a photo and description at Flickr, and we'll link to it. Don't forget to join the new Sandwich Party group!

A sampler from the last Sandwich Party:
- a chip butty
- ham-mac-and-cheese on wheat with lettuce
- the berry bagel sandwich
- a classic BLT
- bocadillo de tortilla de patata
- sun-dried tomato neufchatel tartine with onion jam, cheddar, and apple
- strawberries and sorbet sandwiched between meringues
- French toast sandwich with candied pears.

If those don't inspire you to play along, nothing will. I hope to see you a the Sandwich Party this weekend!

altolinguistic, if you have a chip butty, be sure to post it to the Sandwich Party! I have an apparently insatiable curiosity about the chip butty. There's a small, resistant part of my brain that just won't accept the idea.

I think I'm going to make a Velvet Elvis. Curious? Well, you'll have to check it out this weekend.

I don't have a blog, but may I submit the butter jelly and tuna fish on
rye that I made when I was ten? ;-P

Now that you've mentioned that sandwich, I am uncomfortably eager to hear about it! Please do submit it for this weekend's Sandwich Party! (And, hey, welcome back!) You can either post a description in this very thread, or leave a a description in a comment on this entry on Macbebekin. I'll collect check both places while doing the round-up over the weekend.

By the way, this is the second Sandwich Party, so of course it's Sandwich Party 2: Sandwich Boogaloo.
