mlk/ rfk/ jfk tapestry I remember someone mentioned they won a similar tapestry on ebay and there was a lot of interest in it. This one is REALLY similar, and since I don't have room for something like this at the moment I figured I'd share it with you.
It's interesting to me how, in retrospect, we think of these guys as if they were a united team of superheroes, when in fact the Kennedys were a bit suspicious of MLK, thanks in large part to J. Edgar Hoover's efforts to destroy MLK's reputation.

I don't think I've ever seen a tapestry. So it's just a rug?

More like a blanket. There's no "nap" (fuzz) on a tapestry.

I'd say it's more like a wall hanging sort of thing.

Totally weird, but it looks ... like a doormat, or something. Which makes me think, "How awful!" All I can imagine is someone mistakenly (or purposely) wiping their feet on that thing. Gah.

IME tapestries were usually a display item. Hanging on a wall, or draped across the back of the sofa.
But then, I'm one of those "fringey lampshades and flocked wallpaper is classy!" types, which my roommate assures me is not normal, so this could just be my own Niagara Falls Little Italy upbringing talking.

We got ours in the mail last week.

It's gorgeous close-up.
