08 July 2008

I'm looking for a vocalist (probably female, but not necessarily) with a strong voice (that can rock out against a big wall of guitars) and a sense of humor for a fun little one-off song project. Know anyone? Whoa, this feels a bit too much like a classified ad. Uh... OMG dwarf hamster!
Any particular location?

I've a feeling you've a lot of karaoke wailers at your disposal here.

Well, I kind of assumed an over-the-internet collab was the most likely thing to happen, but the guy I record with is close to Baltimore; if someone around that area wanted to get together, that'd be cool.

Nice save with the mouse, there.

Ahem: it's not a mouse!

I wish I were a little closer to Baltimore.

I'm willing and interested but I would have to get a better mic for an internet collaboration, which is something I'm willing to do.

I definitely rock out, but I have a pretty normal sounding voice, nothing really gritty or angelic. I tend to go for Heart or Pat Benatar when lazy at karaoke.

I don't have a good internet mic, nor do I live anywhere near Ballamer, otherwise I'd seriously consider.

Although I don't LOOK THE PART of a serious rocker, either.

Drop me an email, AV (or anyone else). I'll send you an mp3+lyrics & you can see if you're interested.

Using Sonar, Pro Tools, or what?

On my end, Samplitude, but it doesn't matter much, as long as you can dump out a wav or aiff - or anything, really - from whatever you use to record.

Sorry. I normally don't trust other people's file names for music; I'm not sure why I trusted it for this image. (Needless to say, I didn't click through to verify the animal in question myself.)
