Apparently I'm not wearing the right outfit when I'm "rocking out to the latest rock and roll hits". You know how we kids are with our rock and roll hits.

I don't understand. They've been dorky since 1946, but the fashions are from the 70s. Did dorkiness keep up with the times until the disco era, but then freeze? Or were dorkeys way ahead of the times in 1950s, and therefore trendsetting? This always confused me about Amish fashion as well...when they started wearing that shit, it was contemporary.

I had the same disconnect as dano. It wasn't dorky in the 70's, it was mainstream. But dano, don't be confused about Amish fashion. Just say no, for yourself and your family, and let the Amish be!
