Metafilter, Ask Metafilter, Metachat, and the whole panoply of Metawhatever, obvs! :)

Online book requests from my local library network that let me choose a book, see if it exists at any of the 30-odd libraries in the system, and then reserve it for pickup at my local library a day or so later, for a quarter

Scanning vital documents and saving them in e-mail

Knowing that I absolutely, positively have the lowest-priced airline ticket available

Sending board books and cool onesies to my baby cousin without having to leave home to go shop for baby stuff

Hunting for, and storing, all my recipes

Listening to podcasts of awesome global music from a radio station in Seattle in my kitchen in Latvia

Using online media in class - having English-language students try to transcribe the Miss Teen South Carolina video ("I personally believe that US Americans...") was an AMAZING assignment
