MeCha Radio: Life in the European Theatre, re-edit. June.20.08 10:30-11:30pm PDT[More:] There was an album released in 1982 by the same name that decry'ed nuclear power and weapons. I've just about re-created it, and added some extras. Set runs just over an hour. (My album's got a warp in it! How poopy.)
Damn, I can't stay up for the music, but the graphic rocks.

Looked up a couple of reviews of the album on the web - the consensus is "good album, but what's up with railing against nuclear power??" Which totally ignores the fast that '82 was deep in the heart of the Cold War, and nuclear waste from reactors was being trucked through cities to dumping grounds. Perspective is everything.

also, hi a_h!

....ignores the fast fact that '82...

(btw, it's not all punk, so if it's not your bag, then hang out for a bit and it'll change.)

Hellos to rhapsodie!

"Which totally ignores the fast that '82 was deep in the heart of the Cold War" It was 2 minutes to midnight. Anyone else remember the comic book You can't hug with nuclear arms?

Yep, and this one from a 'Flux of Pink Indians' album.

(seems 1/2 of my last comment disappeared into the ether due to server issues - I'll take that as a hint and call it a night.)

Aw, I was hoping this would still be going by the time I got home.

If anybody's interested, I've got a set all ready to go that I was gonna play this morning but couldn't get a solid connection. I don't know if I'm prepared to play the entire two hours of it, but it's there if anyone wants to listen.
