So, I just got back from the Emergency Room. Pips made me go.→[More:] I was feeling better until I had a spate of chills early this evening. I took my temp and it was 102.9! I told pips and she insisted that we hit the hospital. Our doctor (an Asian woman who looked about 18, but was very pleasant and professional) told me I had acute bronchitis and prescribed some anti-biotics. So my 'feeling better' was premature.

Man, I'm glad you got some serious drugs. Those high fevers are nothing to mess around with. I speak from experience. Ugh.

Get better soon, dude, and don't forget, keep taking the antibiotics even after you feel well. You gotta take the whole course, or you'll just breed a superbug to take out the next guy.

I'm thinking that all the homeless guys sprung a superbug on me, actually, since I rarely get sick. I got a tetanus shot while I was there, since I've sliced myself with boxcutters and label scrapers a few times.

Yah, jon, drinking with antibiotics won't hurt you, per se, but it will render the antibiotics less effective - much less effective. You gotta give them some sober, non smoking hours to do their thing, esp. at first.
