If there's one thing I know about Firefox 3.0, it's that it seems remarkably popular in Iran. Plus only one person in Chad has downloaded it. So that's two things I know about Firefox 3.0.
Japan has almost twice as many downloads as Canada.

That's a fun map! Cool find, seanyboy.

I didn't learn much about Firefox but it did lead me to learn what a Wobble board is.

It's fascinating that Iran has more downloads than China. I wonder how accurate this is.

Oh, and someone add up the EU countries so we can compare it to the US, m'kay?

French Guiana needs to get on the ball; zero downloads. And Chad is up to two.

I'm finding some of those numbers hard to buy. Lithuania, for instance, is currently boasting 319,663 downloads - this means roughly every 10 Lithuanian has downloaded FF3!

Daniel, Firefox adoption is likely highly tied to factors such as localization. It seems that the Fox was late to this party but has been catching up apace. Downloading could also be tied to factors such as the kind of media in the country and what sort of attention they give Firefox.

On the other hand, I wouldn't say it's impossible for there to be some leader board hanky-panky involved.

Anyway, to answer mullacc, is 3,768,444 for the EU vs. 3,228,355 for the US (plus another 400K for Canada and Mexico if you want to get all NAFTA), about what I'd expect overall.

As for China, the native browser Maxthon is apparently in the #2 position behind IE, with Firefox a distant third. Mozilla is going to tweak FF3 for the Chinese market later this year in an attempt to change that.
