Wii Fit women 'destroying their homes' [More:]
Bit of an exaggeration...

Many of the 1000 women polled for women-only insurer Sheila's Wheels admitted they had caused an average of $13.60 worth of damage to their homes in the last year with over-enthusiastic work-outs.

I guess it adds up maybe...
Does this thread constitute a good enough reason to post Wii Hula Girl?

Please tell me Wii Hula Girl is in on the joke. I googled, but I couldn't find the details.

TPS - I read that Wii Hula Girl and the guy who filmed it own a marketing firm specializing in viral internet campaigns. Nintendo denies hiring the firm, but it's probably part of their portfolio or something - if it walks and talks like a fake video, it probably is.

Oops, just found the link via a Consumerist article.

They don't own the firm, but he's a director of interactive marketing, or something like that.

The videos confirm the prevalence of what my boyfriend and I discovered - he thinks I look sexy doing Wii Hula Hoop, but I think he looks like a flailing beached sea creature. (But he's cute anyway.)

That's what I figured, muddgirl, after I saw the account was for an advertising firm.

I wonder if a similar story appeared during the Jazzercise fad of the '80s.

The wii hula girl's boyfriend works in advertising and that my dear, is a viral campaign. (No she was not aware that she was being filmed but he says that she thinks it's funny now).

$13.60 in damage? Shoot, I know someone who got a broken nose during a partucularly energetic wii boxing match.

and I want wii fit, still.

I love the woman who's all excited that her daughter has stopped eating dinner with the family -- or, it seems, at all -- in favor of playing video games.

Sigh.
