I was a Lakers fan in the '80s, and I was with my Dad at the L.A. airport when one of the Lakers/Celtics series was going on. Our flight was delayed because everyone there, including the pilots and attendants were watching the game. Finally someone herded us all on board, and the co-captain kept us in touch with the scores until we took off.
There was much cheering as the Lakers won that one.
I miss Pat Riley and Magic and Kareem and Showtime. Nowadays they just beat up on each other like it was football or hockey.
So I take it that the Lakers laid down in Boston. It's not that I like them that much, it's, like I have said a few times before here, I HATE the Celtics. . .Hate hate hate. . .

Pups, round about the time you posted this, my guy shouted something very similar over the top of our very-much-not-related-to-basketball internet gaming serious telephone conversation.
This proves only how totally hot you are. Or he is.
I couldn't get behind either of the teams this year as my team was always finishing right behind them (and sometimes Detroit) in the 80s. Enjoy your victory though Celtics.
