US Bunnies: Has anyone received their bribe stimulus payment yet? [More:]I went ahead with an expensive car repair in the anticipation that these payments were coming out in May. There's precious little info about the timetable on the website, and I haven't heard of anyone getting theirs yet. Have you?
I got mine - I did electronic deposit for my taxes, and the stimulus was deposited directly into my checking account.

I've heard if you are waiting for a check, it takes longer than the electronic deposit.

It's based on the last two digits of your SSN, my last two digits are fairly low. I got it maybe two, three weeks ago.

I got mine a while ago. Apparently, if you did the EFT thing to pay your taxes / receive your refund, your stimulus was automatically deposited. I got mine in April, I think?

I also got a little note in the mail, telling that it had happened.

I got mine, but it was about a week later than the IRS timetable that I saw said it would be. I think I got it about a month ago.

I also had direct deposit, and my SSN final digits are smack-dab in the middle.

Yup. My SS# last two digits are very low. And I got it some time ago. 6 weeks, maybe? Actually, I just checked my bank account and it was deposited May 6th.

Haven't gotten mine yet. According to the SSN guidance, I should have.

But since I had to pay, I waited until the last few days. They say that it's at least six weeks from April 15, but it's been more than that. I also had my taxes taken out electronically, so I am watching my checking acct like a hawk.

I borrowed money from Daughter's college acct for a new computer, and what I am expecting back from the gov't should almost match what I paid for the computer, so I'll go right back into that acct.

Yeah, I got mine about a month ago. It's sitting happily in my savings/emergency account.

Just got mine this week--you can check their site here to find out which week it was/will be mailed. The last ones are going out in July.

ages ago, but then I've been filing electronically ever since that choice was made available. i hate paper forms.

My situiation is like Danf... I owed, waited until April, and had a direct debit of the payment.
But, I also file with a schedule C, which may slow things down.

"Has anyone received their bribe stimulus payment yet?" Which one? Bush's or Obama's?

If you didn't fill in your checking account information in the Refund portion, you're gonna receive a paper check. Doesn't matter if you put that information in the Payment part - they're only paying attention to the Refund part (or so I heard).

Mine is supposedly going to be sent out by friday of next week so I expect to receive it at the end of June (my last digits are in the 60s). I could use it darnit.

We got a note that it was coming in a few weeks.

Stynxno, this explains a lot. Thanks for the info. I had no idea.

Strange. If I'm getting a paper check, I have a week or so to wait. But I filed through TurboTax and got a refund in direct deposit. So I'm wondering what's up.

1040A, EFT, last digits 12, got it a month or more ago.

Miko - I heard that weird stuff was happening w/ people that filed through Turbo Tax and other software like that. Like, the gov't was electronically sending checks to TT, who then cut paper checks to their users. Let me see if I can find the article I read.

Nope, we filed electronically, but haven't got it yet for the reason stynxno mentions.

Here's what Turbo Tax has to say:
Under certain circumstances, however, the IRS has decided that taxpayers can only get their rebates by mail, even if they get their refunds by direct deposit. At TurboTax, this will happen if you use a "refund transfer" when filing your 2007 return. This service lets you pay for your tax preparation and/or e-filing from your refund proceeds, for an additional fee, under an agreement with Santa Barbara Bank & Trust.

That sounds like a specific case, though, that may not apply to you?
posted by muddgirl 13 June | 13:53
yep -- that does apply to me, Muddgirl. I use their option to handle everything through that bank. Mystery solved, I think. Thank you.

That's what's happening to me too, Miko. I used some online service to file my taxes electronically, got my refund, no problem - but I haven't gotten a stimulus payment yet. Apparently if there were service fees taken out of your refund and I don't remember it but I guess there were from mine, then you don't get it until god knows when. July 4 for my social security number (80) they're saying but I'll believe it when I see it. I spent mine already too, thinking I'd get it in mid May and it's made May and June very difficult financially.

Mine was direct-deposited on day one, and my partner got his last week, as did my mom.

We are still waiting. We got a letter on Tuesday informing us that our check should be arriving some time in the next six weeks. Sigh.

We got ours pretty early, but the ss was less than 15, and we filed early.

All of it is going to pay off baby delivery. The shipping charges on them is crazy.

It's the stork union, drezdn.

I got both my refund and stimulus checks by mail really fast, even though my return was filed around like 4/10. My SSN ends in 0X though - I got mad lucky.
posted by casarkos 13 June | 15:24
Haven't gotten mine. Filed early, opted for EFT but it was rejected for some reason. I got a mailing about that. So that sucks, because I moved, so my lollipop money went to the old address with the weasely landlord who can't seem to put mail in a prepaid flat rate envelope to save his life. Ending in 33.

Mama needs a new pair of lollipops.

Another data point here:

Filed (early) electronically, had refund direct-deposited, paid fees myself, have SS# ending in 9X, received stimulus check almost a month ago (5/16), then received a letter a week or two later telling me that the stimulus check was on the way.

(Maybe I'll get two?)

I got mine direct deposited about a month ago and loaned it to my boyfriend for our trip to Philly. His paper check was in the mail when we got back, and I just deposited it into my account. Am considering blowing it on a One Light Workshop in July, or maybe I should save it for some classes this fall?
posted by rhapsodie 13 June | 16:25
I got my paper check, a week after it was supposed to come.
posted by rmless2 13 June | 16:52
I got mine! Was deposited electronically about a month ago.
posted by ThePinkSuperhero 13 June | 17:52
Miko, we filed with TurboTax also, with direct deposit, and got ours in May. Sorry. 'Course, it was already spent on bills and things (like totally unnecessary plane tickets for an unappreciative teenager, but hey, who's counting that?)
posted by redvixen 13 June | 19:11
Not yet. SSN ends in 9X, should be direct-deposited.
