Anyone on the UK side of the Pond heard this yet? [More:]It's not out in the states till the end of the month. I am just curious about it, since I love most of her other work.
No, and I admit I've never heard of her.

Just listening to it now. I can't give you a comparison as it's the first album of hers that I've heard, but it's good. I'm sure her MySpace account and/or her site will have tracks from it.

Isn't she the girl that Neil Gaiman was all giddy over a year or so ago? Yes, it appears that she is.

Neato.

Haven't heard it, but almost picked it up while trying to buy this this, which like all female singer-songwriter albums* is pretty good for the first two thirds, warbly unlistenable noodling for the last one.

(* The Hounds of Love rule. Ghosts by Siobhan Donaghy is one of the few exceptions I know of)

I'm sure I just read a favourable review of it somewhere. Cannot remember where though for the life of me.

Two examples of why I adore her so much.

Smart is sexy. (But then all the guys here know that, right?)

Ghosts by Siobhan Donaghy
Yeah, that's a pretty great album - much stronger than her solo debut, which was a little patchy.

The Lykke Li album is okay. I saw her on Jools a while ago and she was astounding. Maybe she's more of a live thing.
