How would you describe this kind of art? 1 - 2 - 3
[More:]
I think it's sort of 70s-ish, but is there a name for this kind of drawing? They're stylized flowers... the style seems sort of distinct, with the outlines and lack of shading. Two and three are the style I'm most interested in, but I like the first as well.

I'm in the thinking stages of a couple of tattoos and I can't figure out how to search for these kinds of drawings in particular.
look up Peter Max, 1920's-era art, that sort of thing. It also looks like the art from Yellow Submarine.

2 and 3 are similar to some of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's stained-glass windows, in the Art Nouveau style.

The second two actually kind of remind me of the stylized flowers in art nouveau stained glass. And maybe especially Tiffany.

The first one seems more like a design from some Eastern European traditional dress. Like on this skirt.

Well, looks like you have two votes for art nouveau stained glass!

Hmm. Interesting leads; thanks for that. I think the double outlines on the second tattoo are pretty distinctive, so I'm wondering if this is a specific style.

Stew, that costume is beautiful. I also thought the art had a strong Eastern European/Hungarian theme.

Aha, so I got a message through to the owner of the latter tattoo, and she tells me it's from a piece of vintage fabric she saved specifically for that purpose. So maybe I will run some vintage fabric searches on the Google Image.

I do like the first tattoo as well, though -- it's posted on the tattoo artist's Flickr account, so I don't think I can get a hold of the tattooee. (?)
