Cool! So lucky it's of age, too--they need to be fed by hand when they're young and orphaned. Are you feeding him/her and leaving out fresh water?

I like squirrels; I have a feeder set aside just for them in my yard.

shane - we started leaving a bowl of water out on the deck for our cat, and soon found that the squirrels used it too. We refill daily. As for food - there are anywhere from three to five adults who show up each morning when Science Girl puts out food "for the birds". They quickly hoover it all up, and then she puts out food that the birds might get a chance to eat. The youngster usually doesn't show up until the afternoon, so if I see him/her out there, I'll gently open the door and scatter a few sunflower seeds where he/she can get them.
