I AM SICK OF FOG. Sun, please! I feel like I'm living underwater, or in some weird winterland where green things bloom. I would like to see the sky, and some color other than gray. →[More:] Thank you for your attention.
I can't think of anything to say, other than YES! in the largest letters I can muster. Vancouver is also being grey today (and for most of the week).
Thus:
It's been a mild, gray spring this year in Seattle; it's currently raining and 53. This pleases me. I'm sorry for those of you who don't like it, but I myself am LOVING it.
Fog is so romantic. You should wear a trench coat and walk down the street with a mysterious look on your face. At the other end of the street your lover would suddenly appear. You would huddle close without saying a word and walk arm in arm to a smoky cafe. :)
Or, you could come here. The sun's rays will bore a hole through the top of your head.
I don't actually mind rain. The fog, however, is starting to make me crazy. It seems like a conscious entity invading the city, with some sort of nefarious agenda. Rain is (or can be) soft and comforting; fog always feels slightly hostile to me.
And I do find it romantic, but in November. In June, it's just depressing.
Rain at least gives us rivers. And snow sometimes. In other words there's a POINT to it. When it's foggy it only rains if you're under the redwood trees. Redwood trees gather fog up and dump it on your head (which I quite like, actually).
At least fog wouldn't leak through the half-dozen holes in my garage roof. It's raining like hell here in the 'Burgh right now and I'm sure that there are puddles forming on my garage floor.
Well occhi, depending on exactly where you move, you will have some of it down there, or maybe not.
At least the weather isn't ALL that nice across the bay today. When it's foggy in the 50's in SF and in the 90's in Oakland that is when it seems strange to me.
(One of my fond memories is one time up at Tilden Park seeing just the tips of the GG above the fog.)

Yeah, I love being up in Marin and seeing the blanket of fog below... I just hate driving back into the city and into that blanket!
I think it's just that I'm in a summer mood. I want to wear tank tops and flip flops and other things that end in "-op". But I'm going to have to find shoes with closed toes and sweaters and scarves to wear to class.
