Cop looses five days pay for "harassing female co-worker" (he watched a porn movie with her in it) Translation inside[More:]

"Porno watching police gets salary withheld

One of the police officers in Västerbotten who harassed a female co-worker at a party in December will have five days pay withheld. The man watched a porn movie that the coworker was in.

During the party the police watched an old movie where a woman who was also at the party was in. The woman felt harassed and reported the incident"

We have ex porn-stars as cops in Sweden? Cops get to watch blue movies during christmas festivities at the office? What a bizarre story, I wish it wasn't so short.
They might not have been at the office.

Wow, are my parties ever dull in comparison.

Cop porn stars, eh? I doubt we have too many of those in the states. (It's possible, however, that some of their mustaches are working the circuit during off-duty hours.)

Would it have been no problem if the cop weren't in the movie?

I do think it would have been polite and okay if they'd watched the flicks without knowledge of the female cops who had starred in them. And, presumably, kept the jokes and gossip out of the work situation.

What I find weird is the career path from pron star to police officer. I have no prob with it, but it seems... incongruous. Heh.

You know what's funny? That we always call them "porn stars" when 99% of them aren't stars at all, just kind of porn personnel. It's like calling the actors who play Man On Subway #2 a "movie star" or the bass player for your regional Doors cover band a "rock star."

It'd be bad enough telling your family/friends/co-workers you were/used to be a porn star. Think of if you had to tell them you were a "porn extra."

Or a "fluffer".

I dunno, dabitch, fluffer has it's own cachaaay, for some. Like, wow, you got to fluff the porn "stars." I guess "extra fluffer" would be bad, though.

Yeah, me too. That's an odd jump. From porn star to, I dunno, model? Actress! Actually had an ex porn star as design student at my school but she took no shit from anyone, even declaring in class (paraphrased as I remember it told): "I know all you guys are snickering because you've seen me in a movie. Meanwhile, I will laugh at your student debt or short leashes from the parents who pay for your tuition. I can pay my own way, to do what I want and follow my dreams now, how many of you can say that?"

So I guess I've always expected ex porn stars to have far thicker skin, having encountered exactly one post-porn. (and a few mid-porn)

i know someone who was a porn extra. Hey, LA.
Also, most people in porn have do it just once, i think it's the repeats that make you a "star", so i'm not surprised people who did once are wandering around in all walks of life.
Showing that one porn to coworkers is definitely harassment.

have done
do it
whatever.
i'm glad they did something about it.
i've heard Scandanavian countries are all more relaxed about sex publicly but can be quite two faced about it, esp. generationally, from Danes.

Tacky, at the very least.

Wait, do you mean sex in public? It's illegal, just like everywhere else (indecent exposure). But we do have the odd people-free beaches and such so you can get away with it. ;)
Speaking of Denmark: Truth in election posters - someone replaced Louise Frevert's headshot with photographs from her past career as a porn star instead during the 2005 election.
Tacky, at the very least.

Yeah, if the film was shown during the party I think we can count that as harassing anyone who didn't want to watch a porn film at the office party. I can't think of anything that would make me more uncomfortable than watching my boss watch a porn flick. eeeeeew. (regardless of who's in it). I'm sure some of the dudes were icked out too, not everyone loves blue movies. blue movie? Get it? Cops, blue, porn blue movie... ah nevermind
