Aww, that's sad. I've been through this, too. It's like someone takes away the livingroom in the hous all the kids go to hang out. After a week of work, when your emptied of strength for the "game," and you walk through those doors, get a beer, "[and]everyone knows your name."
Maybe the owner can find another location? The article doesn't seem to mention it. Finding a place would be a great community organising activity.
When I used to work for "The Daily Texan" business office, we'd run down every other afternoon and slam beers as fast as we could and then stagger back to work. It's sad to see it go, but I think it'll definitely improve the GPA around "The Texan".
