This is a very striking photo. AP news photo of two of the FLDS women leaving the courthouse in San Angelo, Texas. [More:]It's strange but pretty, and looks sort of like a recreation of something out of the past. Appropriately enough.
I liked the one the NYTimes has, with the red hair and the teal dresses. It's very bizarre and strangely beautiful.

I think it's the anachronism that gets me - like 'Little House on the Prairie' extras testifying on Capitol Hill or something.

Damn fine shot and not just because we know anything about the back story.
I just read in the NYTimes of the excommunicated and estranged father of one of the mothers. Um, he had 12 children with another woman... Where are all the 'men'¿

yeah, not my world.

great photo BoPo - thanks for pointing it out. It looks more like a painting than a photo.

Yeah that is a stunning photo. It reminds me of that National Geographic one of the woman with green eyes locked with the camera - just one of those things that arrests time.
