Remember this couch? I got lucky today, and found another one, with chairs! but it's an ugly color, and bidding went a bit too far for my liking, so it's a bittersweet win.
Oh, I like the style! Plus, you can always slipcover it.

And now, I must learn reupholstery (is that a word?) fast!

Good for you, dabitch. I remember how much you liked the other gray couch. Was it gray? I think so. These are very nice.

There are some good books on upholstery out there. They probably even offer upholstery classes. Most cities do.

i like the chairs. i bet it's worth going to a decent upholsterer, especially if you can find a fabric. Go to a designer friend or someone in architecture/interiors for a recommendation. They get mad discounts.

I think I'll save up for a decent upholsterer, must pay the people who have learned a craft (my motto), so that may take some time, since they tend to only want to use the fabrics they have (high quality stuff) and that tens to be pretty expensive.. But yeah, I'll do the couch more in the style of the other one which was two-tone, grey sides in lighter 'seat' (mattress?). That looked cool. :)

But wehey, couch love works! I've been pining for that thing ever since, and ta-rah, another one shows up! WhooHoo!

Wheee! That's great! I can't wait to see it after your transformation, though I think it still looks cool as it. We'll need pix in situ soonest, of course.
