Obama Worked Out at My Gym Last Saturday Morning . . .While I was sitting reading Metachat, he did some cardio and weightlifting where I work out. [More:]

Apparently, he was accompanied by just one Secret Service guy, although I am sure they had the building covered.

So, if you had drug your sorry carcass to the gym early one Saturday morning and saw him working out, what would you do? Just pretend he's another guy keeping you off the leg machine, or try to shake his hand, or what?
MI, please, mods? Pretty please, wonderful busy mods?

Oui, np. (I would try to shake his leg, probably. It just seems like a friendly thing to do.)

That's cool. I might be tempted to shake his hand if I could catch him at a point where I wouldn't be disturbing his routine (moving between machines, etc.)

So, did he leg press 300 pounds?

Duuno. Wasn't there. I'll ask and get back to you.

Uh, what?? *Does not compute*

Meaning, if you had gotten up very early on a Saturday and went to the gym to work out.

drug as a past tense of drag just looks wrong...

"if you had dragged your sorry carcass..." looks better even if it isn't.

An iconic blogger recently twittered the following pseudo-multi-tense summary of his health that I will frequently quote in the future...
"Sick. Sack. Suck."

Yeah I got that, but why the hell would anyone want to do that? One should never use "gym" and "Saturday morning" in the same sentence. Obama just lost a vote.
it was a joke, although not a clear or good one. Carry on...

Some station used to play Angel reruns from 6 to 7 weekday mornings, and for awhile I was timing my elliptical machine time to catch part of an episode.

Heck, Saturday morning used to be one of our times to go - the place wasn't busy...

I'd give him the sup-nod, but probably not much more.

Ooo, the sup-nod! Man, I'd feel so cool if I was able to say to my grandchildren, yea, see that guy in the history book? I gave him the sup nod once, and HE SUPPED NODDED BACK. Hahahaha.

I'd blow him.

Try not to stare and mentally save up images for future masturbatory fodder.
