Where do I find individual "badge reels" (retractable ID card holder thingies)? I can only find them in packs. I just need one.→[More:]

If you're okay with them not looking exactly like the linked one, they sell them in hardware stores near all the other stuff you can attach your keys to.

Sometimes in office supply stores, they have individual ones in a bucket by the cash registers. You could call around and see if any of your local stores sell them that way, so you don't have to roam all over town looking for one.

Used to have one when I worked in a bank. Waaaay bigger (bulkier/heavier) than the badge reel my coworker broke last week. I got that one from my old job at the bowling alley.

Figure out who the most senior person (not--this is important--the highest-ranking person) in your HR department is, and then ask 'em for one.

The Ace Hardwares near me carry them individually- near the key section.

Also, I have a spare if you want it. I never use it.

Buy the pack, because they wear out where the cord goes into the reel from swinging around when you walk. Keep an eye on the cord there and, when it gets frayed, chuck it out - nearly lost my access card and ID card recently because the cord snapped and it fell on the footpath. It was only a matter of luck that I felt it fall.
