Whatcha doing this weekend?→[More:]The weather in NYC is lousy, so at least for tonight, I'm staying in. Netflix and possibly Chinese delivery.
Today: tidying, hopefully buring swampset CDs, packing more stuff that I'm going to need
Tommorow: Getting envelops and cases for said CDs and prepping them for mailing, grocery shopping, rearranging packed stuff
Sunday: working like usual, writing up directions, printing maps, prepping for vacation
MuddDude and I are driving to Houston to see Radiohead! Woo Hoo! And we get to spend time with two of our friends that we rarely see! Yay! I'm super excited - I hope the sunshine holds, and that we don't get thunderstorms.
today: relax, study, look into camera gear
saturday: work, family PC repair extravaganza
sunday: work, bbq at a friend's, possibly going out
monday (long weekend! woo!): work.
The usual housework, sewing myself a teal georgette dress I began last night, finishing the pencil portrait of my friend's little boy I began last weekend for my friend's birthday present, finishing the garden planting, installing my composter, building a garden path, and hopefully getting close to finishing the basment renos. It's a long weekend in Canada thanks to Victoria Day!
Tonight: Meeting with wedding photographer, then dinner/drinks with a huge bunch of in- and out-of-town friends.
Tomorrow: Finishing tissue paper carnations, more hanging out with friends, then getting dressed up and off to friend's trashy prom-themed birthday party at a cheesy motel (hence the tissue paper flowers).
Sunday: Brunch and Field Museum with friends.
Tonight: cycling because I just know the sun is going to stay out, then making popcorn and watching Juno.
Saturday: Taking my boyfriend out for breakfast and a walk in the park. Raking the yard. Looking at university degree programs, making Plans and maybe Decisions but definitely Appointments. Maybe see if I can get roller derby tickets.
Sunday: Church, gym, grocery shopping, making curtains. Giving the dog a haircut? Maybe.
Tonight: making dinner for friends (thanks for everyone's side dish suggestions)
Tomorrow: farmer's market in the morning, addressing baby shower invites for a friend, gym, perhaps a movie
Sunday: Fuckall. Absolute fuckall.
On preview I notice that this should really be entitled The PMS Queen Bitches About The Coming Weekend. Sorry, y'all. You have been warned. ;-)
Tonight: go celebrate a friends' graduation (YAY SYNTAX! YOU ROCKA DA EDUMACATION!)
Tomorrow: clean the house, work in the garden
Tomorrow night: go to a party. A party I don't really want to go to. Not my crowd. Yargh. But I've been invited like four times - I guess I'm one of the token bohemians. I know I'm a token single person. And a token poor person. Yay tokenism. Not. I shouldn't be such a bitch but I hate feeling obligated to attend things even though I don't really want to. Oh well. Maybe I'll have a good time or even, gasp, network a little. There's a job I want. . .
Sunday: long story but it culminates in me spending a couple of hours at work painting the bloody gift shop with my son. I am not all that happy about this. I'd like to have just one damn whole weekend off work.
Tonight: trying to stay awake
Tomorrow: shopping and stuff
Sunday: probably going to my parents' place and also getting ready for going back to work post-holiday.
Tonight ... is the next-to-last night of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Tomorrow ... is the very last night of Midsummer, then the cast party. Sunday ... brings recovery and strike.
Heading to the Sierras. There's going to be some Jews in canoes action. We'll also be drinkin', shootin' and fishin' (only two of those three activities will be done concurrently though).
Tomorrow I am working. Just for five hours. After that, I don't know.
Sunday - Probably hiking in some state or county park. My kids, sister, nephew, my parents, and I have been going to a different state park for the past few Sundays. We have decided that this is what we will do for the rest of the summer: Be a tourist in our own town. In this month alone we have had 5 ticks. This Sunday we will be more diligent with the insect repellent.
Prime Weekend Directive - extricate the munnies The Guvmnt. sent ME from my Husband's bank account, for I am his chattel in the eyes of the IRS and The Husband is slack, and I have bills to pay.
Tomorrow, I really, really have to do a site job that I should have finished two days ago. I will do. Will.
Also, probably go wander in the supermarket, though it's really not necessary. I have enough food to last me the weekend. But I would like to get some of that terribly lovely grainy bread with the seeds that I buy there.
Sunday, I will spend most of the day trying not to be on total pins and needles about getting my doggy YAY!! in the evening. I predict house cleaning, since drinking wouldn't impress the pet-rescue person.
Battening hatches, tackling tackles, bracing for impact, keeping the high ground, avoiding the undertoad, maintaining perspective, taking nothing too seriously and hopefully amusing myself.
And the ever present burden of tidying.
Today: Hennaing my hair, taking six showers to get the henna out. Maybe Caspian or Iron Man tonight.
Tomorrow: Drive to Pasadena to help a friend cater her graduation party. Make Indian food for 75 people. Possibly then go to a goodbye/housewarming party for some people in West Hollywood, possibly not. The ex will be there, plus a bunch of other people I want nothing to do with. Plus a few people I do want something to do with. Dammit.
Sunday: Jonathan Coulton concert in the evening, hopefully some yoga in the morning. Sleep?
And stressing as appropriate, which these days seems to be pretty much all the time. Fuck.
tonight - going to bed early so I can prepare for:
AWESOME SATURDAY.
I will begin the day by going to a yard sale, and then get my hair tinted for the first time in a year (yay for pregnancy being over!) Then I will take my mother's day gift certificate and get a manicure, a pedicure, and my eyebrows done. Wooooo! I might even bring a book and read a few chapters while my feet are getting done. That would be a first since the baby!
