Dammit, I wanna know why the stairs are famous too! Perhaps someone had a record cover photo taken on them?

The Stairs: That picture was taken in Lockhart, Texas (about 40 minutes south of Austin), where much of the movie Waiting for Guffman was filmed. Those stairs feature prominently in one scene—the one right after Corky quits the show, when the cast of "Red, White, and Blaine" goes to his apartment to attempt an impromptu intervention. (Remember Corky in the bubblebath?) Those stairs are the exterior of his apartment. (I did only say "kind of" famous.)
