And yay! Congratulations!

Seriously? I'm not a huge comics nerd. I look at everything people say is cool, and I really like some of it, but ... maybe 25%. Maybe. But I was savoring this. I love it. I'm not saying this just to support a metachatter/mefite, etc. I adore this.

Also, and this is just a goofy coincidence... I just came back from my neighborhood version of a convenience store, and there's this cat that hangs out there that just kills me. She resembles essexjan's Bailey, but she's quite petite though adult (pleasingly plump, but very small for an adult cat)... and she always has her tongue halfway sticking out. She loves to be petted, and gets quite emotive and utterly shameless for it... and that little pink tongue lolling... she slays me. So it was fucking hilarious to come back here and see interrobang's comic with one of the kitty characters with exactly the same tongue issue. Serendipity, I loves U.

i noticed you updated your blog a couple days ago.
Did you ever talk to anyone like Chris or did you do it all online through submissions?
posted by ethylene 16 May | 16:05
I gave the Top Shelf guys some minicomics at TCAF, but I didn't really talk to them.
posted by interrobang 16 May | 17:02
So they contacted you?
posted by ethylene 16 May | 17:19
No, they sent me a very nice and thoughtful rejection e-mail saying that they weren't interested in more autobiographical comics. So after "The Hole in the Wall" was done, I sent it to them and they asked if they could put it on their site.
posted by interrobang 16 May | 17:24
Congratulations!!!! I bet they do publish it, because it is completely and utterly awesome. Look at how many people were addicted to it on your flickr site, and who were heartbroken when it ended.

YAY!

Beautiful comic - I'd love to see it in print.

Incidentally... Infinite Kung Fu being on Top Shelf 2.0 is glorious.
