Unintentional irony & Radiohead tee shirts. [More:] At the Atlanta show Thursday night, I'm standing at the tee shirt kiosk wondering who's gonna pay 40 bucks for a concert tee shirt. And my cell phone rings. It's Terry, asking me to buy him a tee shirt. I've mentioned him here before -- he's an old friend with some health problems that have left him with symptoms very similar to those of a stroke victim: severely slurred speech, limited muscle control, and partial blindness. He asks me to describe the different shirts available. I read them off to him. One reads: "I am trapped in this body and cannot escape."

"Oooh!" Terry exclaims. "That's the one I want."

So I go to buy it.

"That one's only available in a baby tee," the woman running the kiosk says. "It's a girl's size."

"There aren't any that say that in a men's size?"

"No, sorry."

Interesting. So men don't have body image problems. And women who can't fit in a tiny, curvy petite tee shirt evidently should pick another design, too.

So I bought him a shirt that read: "You used to be all right. What happened?"
It always used to piss me off that I couldn't find a Powerpuff Girls t-shirt in "husky middle-aged guy" size. They were (and are) only available in kids' sizes and a few young womens' sizes, as far as I could find.

So who was Surfer Girl and why did she review Star Wars? || Have you ever had a personal trainer?
