What food have you eaten today? [More:]
For breakfast I had muesli with berry compote and Greek yoghurt.

For lunch I had fat-free cottage cheese and a banana.

My dinner is cooking as we speak. Pork fillet, sliced and marinated in soy sauce, a splash of balsamic vinegar, a little sunflower oil, a teaspoon of Chinese Five Spice powder, a teaspoon of honey, two teaspoons of garlic & ginger (which I buy in the Indian shops in east London, it's fab stuff) and salt and pepper. I left it for at least an hour for the flavours to meld.

Then I stir-fried a crushed clove of garlic in a little sunflower oil in a hot wok, added the pork, cooked it for a while and then added broccoli, sugar snap peas, a sliced courgette and a green pepper. I put the lid on to let it cook properly. I'm just about to stir in some spinach. Brown meat and green veggies. It smells wonderful.

And I'm going to watch The Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten, not the old movie) while I eat. Food pr0n!
A boring diet shake, a not-as-boring diet peanut butter bar, am REALLY looking forward to the real food/munchies they'll be serving at the annual all-company reception in an hour.

young coconut- dried and sugared- from Vietnam. I really really wish they'd sell it here, but apparently it rots when they try to ship it. Addictive. Completely addictive.

For breakfast I had some prosciutto and fresh mozzarella on bread. For lunch I had an Italian sausage sandwich with provolone. Dinner I am going out. EJ, your dinner sounds delicious. I envy your eating habits. I have eating habit envy.

Breakfast: Wheat Chex w/ soy milk.
Lunch: Boca Burger on whole wheat bread.

For dinner, I'm thinking either garden salad or whole roasted suckling pig.

I mentioned this in the 3-point update, but:

Breakfast (brunch, really) was burritos. Diced potatoes sauted with cumin and cayenne, eggs scrambled with steamed broc and salsa, sauteed mushrooms, and chunks of perfectly ripe avocado, all wrapped in whole-wheat tortillas. Mine had cheese, his did not.

Each of us had a glass of cranberry juice which we promptly poured out --- it had fermented in the fridge. Guess it's been a while since we drank cranberry juice. Blarf. I had an iced espresso, too.

I'm about to go make a smoothie: frozen blueberries and strawberries blended with orange juice and maybe some yogurt.

I think dinner will be blanched snowpeas and edamame over brown rice, with a sesame oil sauce. We'll see.

Breakfast: Granola and milk, and coffee

Not-Quite-Lunch: Egg & cheese sandwich, with diced peppers and ham

I'm having a starving day. I don't know what kicked on, but I am hungry! I am currently joyously plotting a bigger lunch for later.

Hungry!

I had some Revithia (chickpea soup) for lunch, and so far no supper (though it's after 10 pm). There's a good chance I might have a toasted cheese sandwich before I go to bed. (not doing as excellently as I would like in the food department lately.)

Breakfast: The same as every day: Yogurt (rasberry this time!) mixed with bran flakes, followed by diet coke. Yum!

Lunch: Turkey sandwich and some chips, home-made by MuddDude.

Dinner: I don't know yet, although we'll probably eat out as our A/C is still broken.

1cup Raisin Bran Crunch, with
1cup 2% milk

About to have a small slice of pizza provided by the office before we start cleaning up our block for Spring Clean Up Day.

Then I will drive to Homer and have the biggest, baddest, bestest burger known to Alaska along with a chocolate peanut butter milkshake, completely blowing any idea of staying within my calorie range today. And I will love every bite of it.

I had a tangelo in the morning, and, closer to lunchtime, some fake Buffalo wings with sriracha. Also a cup of coffee in the morning, and several cups of tea and water throughout the day.

Cold leftover pounded chicken breast sauteed in olive oil.

Some sunflower seeds with the seeds on, so you just suck salt and oil and spit out stuff in a charming manner.

2 Laughing Cow cheeze wedges and about 12 slices of pepperoni.

A meal replacement frozen thing that was chicken and broccoli and sauce - 180 calories.

Gum gum gum gum gum gum gum.

Diet Coke, Diet Coke, Diet Coke, Diet Coke.

Oy. Skipped breakfast because I was running late for work. About 10:30, couldn't take it any more (for a regular breakfast eater, skipping really hurts) so I went to the Hippie Bakery and got a piece of broccoli, cheddar, and ham quiche with a slice of wheat bread, chocolate cookie, and coffee. Brunch if you will.

Since then, I have eaten 2 pieces of cake - 1 intensely rich, fudgy, buttery-chocolate birthday cake that a co-worker brought in, and 1 intensely sweet-tart homemade lemon cake that another coworker brought in. Not so good.

I just had two soyrizo* tacos and a coconut date roll, along with a pint of iced tea.

*All of the flavor, none of the salivary glands!

Oh, Miko, do I miss Hippie Bakery. When I lived in Town Redacted, our bookkeeper was involved in Hippie Bakery, and would bring us cookies or pastry or savories along with my paperwork.

Breakfast was cucumber and tomato with a bit of olive oil and rice vinegar and pepper.

Lunch, steamed sugar snap peas, red onion, red pepper, cauliflower, sliced carrots, and noodles left over from another dish with a little salt and a nice slathering of hot sauce.

I just had a girlguide cookie.

Now I am hungry again and I think I'll have some chips. I likey the carbs.

One Werther's Original candy. This is a perk of working with the elderly. They're always slipping you a Werther's.

One cup of plain instant oatmeal.

Two cups fresh fruit salad (watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, grapes, pineapple, strawberries)

One salad with chicken, romaine, a little shredded cheese, corn, chicken, and a "southwest" salad dressing. I leave the tortilla chips off that come with it. It's from the produce section in the grocery store. They call it a "bistro" salad.

Tonight I'm going on a date with my husband. I'll probably have a steak, baked potato, salad, wine.

2 slices of pepperoni pizza, Pepsi, Sprite, wee piece of chicken, few slices of boiled potatoes, and some nasty macaroni and cheese.

Pancakes this morning, (I'm off today), an energy bar, and Mr. V is making a pasta dinner with sausage. Currently I'm drinking a strawberry margarita.

Ooo, LoriFla, is that the "Fiesta" version? I know those salads come in several varieties, including "Chicken Ceasar", and "Cob", and a walnut thingy. But the "Fiesta" one is my favorite - and I leave the tortilla chips off, too.

I've always wanted to live in Redacted.

Among other things, for breakfast I ate a big handful of dandelion greens, fresh from the field. Hopefully healthy. At least they had no pesticides.

Gritty gnocchi, mediocre salmon and cranberry bread pudding garnished with a Pepperidge farm flute--I'd sent back one dish because they'd dumped raspberry coulis over it when there was no mention of it on the menu. I still wanted the vanilla sauce and blueberries, but they left that off even though I had just said "no raspberry".

First, i made sure to make some pretty costly urine, then had a few bites of chocolate cake.
Fed people fresh snickerdoodles.
Finally got fud, attacking seaweed salad, ginger dressed salad, miso soup, and tempura scallops. Sushi for the first time in ages. i could eat yellowtail all day.
Finished last quarter of cake with coffee.
Just had pesto pasta as i readied a pasta bake for tomorrow.
A pretty ok food day.

Ooo, LoriFla, is that the "Fiesta" version?

Yes. I like it too. My favorite grocery used to make fresh salads (some stores still do). This "Fiesta" salad is the next best thing. I have them all the time when I'm working.
