Marvin Gaye was so hot. i just saw this. Tidy little action packed bio.

He was an insanely talented guy who was taken from us too soon. (By his own father, WTF?) I was just starting to understand how brilliant he was about the time he got murdered. The universe has a sick sense of humor sometimes.

He was also hot that way, too.

Further proof that crack is indeed whack, if you needed it. (Although part of my memory wants to say that father and son were both freebasing. Doesn't make much difference now, I guess.)

Got sucked into the Aretha one right after it. It is soooo 80s. George Michael and less decrepit Keith Richards!

Both their fathers were preachers, but hers got shot and was in a coma for 5 years?
Also, i did not know about the cross dressing at all.

Cross dressing? Do tell.

A great way to ruin your life: kill your own son.

Here is a song.

His father was a violent and strict preacher and a cross dresser, besides being a total asshole, and it messed him up.

They had total opposites as fathers. Hers was totally supportive and gave her music to listen to.
i remember seeing all the clips made in the eighties before, probably vh1/mtv.

(Thank you for that album version, Lori... I hope you saw that the Kate version a few threads back is now downloadable.)
