About a dozen empty seltzer cans. My office is on the 3rd floor and every time I go downstairs, I try to take something down with me, but the cans add up faster than my trips downstairs to the recycling bin.

2. My cell phone. I just finished talking to my friend in Boston, who I've been playing phone tag with for ages.
3. My cat, asleep on top of the couch. He finally found a position in which he could curl up without falling between the cushions or off the back of the couch.
4. Ice cream bowl still sitting out from last night. I should probably clean up.
5. CD and DVD cases, in a stack on the floor. My husband just bought a surround sound system, which takes up half of the tv cabinet, thereby evicting the CD and DVD cases out onto the floor. I've been promised that they will be moved to a permanent residence soon.
