Good lord BoPo - you rock. There were only two things on there I didn't already love. One was the Rocket from the Tombs song - they're a band that never hooked me. The other, the Transplants, I didn't know. But damn - that song kicks my butt and intend to know more very soon. Anything from that first Gun Club gets a big thumbs up from me, but "She's Like Heroin" is on an extra high level of greatness. I'm trying wind down and go to sleep, and now your mix is getting me riled up. Damn you!

I've only dipped my toe in the Muxtape waters a little, but I think it's time to dive right in!

Listening to random muxtapes can be fun, though of course it takes a while to find one you want to hear all the way through. Here's a short one I found yesterday that's pretty cool.

The first time I went to muxtape a while ago every mix I clicked on was pretty crappy, so I just assumed that it wasn't worth checking out. But last night I had a good run of finding good stuff. So thanks for turning me onto the site again.

And regarding the Szuters - they were a band that seemed to deliberately stay under the radar. They made 3 or 4 albums, which I've never actually seen in a store or even online. All I have is a best-of a friend made for me. Every song I've heard by them is as good as that one, so it's a shame that they didn't seem to be more ambitious.

Not to steal your thunder, but I broke my cherry and made a punk one as well.

Hellbient - that's a great punk mix. The Scream/Raygun/Squirrel Bait triple threat is fantastic! I used to play that Scream cut way too often in college radio and threw it on more than it's fair hare of mixes. Now I wanna hear that whole album again - "the Zoo Closes at Dark" is only other song I remember the name of.

Cool stuff there, BP & Hellbient - time to redo mine into punk thang too!
