No sitting at the piano for Mr. Cave this time out. And there's a quick North American tour this fall - you European types can catch either or both bands this summer.

Oh, you know me, ass & angels, though i do like ink. i'm just never in the mood for it, and i didn't buy it, it just lives here. i'm crazy stocked up on new reading materials for the first time in ages.
i got An Arsonist's Guide To Writers' Homes In New England in part because that's a fantastic title and exactly what i need. Goddamn New England. i got a Neil Gaiman on sale to see what the context of Gaspode really is and am finishing up Bloodsucking Fiends. It's all very mecha influenced.

They go on sale in Seattle on Friday as well. Science Girl has somehow gotten us on the presale list, which is nice.

I am the only one of my friends who doesn't dig Grinderman. It just doesn't speak to me I guess. Dig, Lazarus, Dig was great though! I'll have to check out the Toronto dates.

I'm curious to hear this album... I haven't heard anything since that "Lyre of Orpheus" double album thing a few years back. (Which I love.)

I loved Grinderman, and can't wait to get my hands on the new album. Thanks, bmarkey!

And goddammit, they're not playing anywhere near where I hope to be this fall. Damndamndamn. One of my best memories is of a road trip a friend and I took to see Nick Cave and the Dirty Three in Seattle. Great show, much fun, excellent road trip all 'round.
