Cinderhickie in which Mrs. Doohickie gets new clothes at the Renaissance Festival MOFB [More:] with a bonus pic of the two of us in period clothes. Is this a warning sign?
Ah, what a cute couple. You both look great, and fun!

What a beautiful dress! I have to admit, I love the grin on the salesgirls' face.

The cool thing is that I didn't pose her, she did that on her own.

Ok, was Mrs Doohickie, like, 12 or something when you married her, because she looks so young.

Mrs. Doohickie thanks you, Jan, but honestly she's older than I am.

I think it's unfair that the Renaissance gets all the fests. The other historical eras are jealous (give or take the Civil War). Where's the Great Depression Fest? the Dark Ages Carnival? the Post-Vietnam Malaise Luau?

Love the garb!

As far as getting sucked into the asylum, there's plenty of company. I'm only sort of joking when I tell people that one of my criteria for a husband was that he had to go to the Ren Faire with me in garb. I really lucked out on that one -- my husband and I have even had discussions as to how his persona (well-to-do merchant) and mine (ex-tribal Rom) managed to get together and get married...

Mrs. Doohickie said that although I have simple britches and smock right now, she wouldn't mind knighting me.
