I forgot that MonkeyFilter was still around. It used to be that meetups were frequently MeFi/MoFi meetups--now they're MeFi/MeCha meetups.

Yeah, MoFi was doing really well up until Matt reopened MeFi signups. It's been in fairly steady decline since, which makes sense, as MoFi's main draw was as an alternative for those not lucky enough to get in before signups were closed. The last few days have seen a sharp uptick in activity, following a longish discussion about the slowdown and questions about the future.

The site suffers a bit from occupying a weird position -- it's not as formal as MeFi, but not as casual as this place. We're still hanging in, though.
