18 April 2008

I saw Stephen Colbert last night and it was AWESOME! [More:]Hilary was there. And John Edwards. And Obama was there via satellite. I screamed myself hoarse and my hands hurt from clapping.

I didn't think my crush on him could get any worse, but when he walked up to each member of his crew and thanked them after the show...well, my heart grew three sizes.
That is so awesome, jrossi! Just Awesome!

Sounds like you picked the right night to attend! I've really enjoyed this week's shows that were shot on-location in Philly. I think the change of location brought a whole new energy to a show that, in my opinion, has been somewhat stagnant of late. I hope they continue to change things up like that in the future.

I do not get to see him and Stewart that often (not having cable, depending on knowing when neighbors are gone and breaking into their houses to watch THEIR cable, etc.), but I wish that the audience noise was dialed down a bit. There is some funny stuff, but it would be funnier if it were a bit more subtle. . .

That Senator Clinton bit was wonderful. It might have been the first positive media coverage she's received during this entire campaign. (Pardon my hyperbole.)

But really, it was fantastic.

It was a really good time, despite the fact that the extra security considerations postponed things considerably. We waited in line for about 4 hours before the show actually started. The crowd was packed with Obama supporters who did not take kindly to being held up by Hillary. Yet, when she walked out, everyone went nuts. She was funny, but not nearly as funny as Edwards. It made me sad again that he dropped out. I really liked him as a candidate.

My daughter was under the mistaken impression that we had gone to see "The Cool Bear Show" and could not understand why children were not allowed to see the AWESOME BEARS!
