All jests and jolly japes aside, I'm a little surprised that people are finding this so creepy. I mean, it is kind of an odd thing to do at a game, but having been a sports-enthralled kid at one point I can sorta put myself in his head. Mikka Kiprusoff is one of the best goalies in the game; I'm guessing somebody - a relative, coach, someone like that - told the kid that if he wants to be a goaltender himself, he should watch Kipper's every move on the ice. He just took it a little farther, is all.
Either that or his next move will be to start stealing Kiprusoff's mail.
I think someone did tell him exactly what bmarkey said - and if the kid is somewhere around 8-9 years old, kinda cute being so overzelous. If he's ten-eleven... Uhm, lets talk son.
I vote creepy. I wouldn't want to see my little kid doing it, no, no, no.
You're also probably not the kind of parent who'd be pushing their child to be a sports fanatic. Who knows? Kid probably wants to be an actor but his dad's like PLAY SPORTS BE A MAN HAVE A BEER and he's all like naw, dad, I just wanna play, like for fun and dad's all like NO YOU WILL VICARIOUSLY FULFILL ALL MY WASTED HOPES AND DREAMS
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as bmarkey - kid looks up to the dude, kid plays hockey, maybe kid is goalie on his peewee hockey team, kid wants to look all cool and aggressive and ready-to-play during warm-ups.
Either that, or his parents convinced him to do it to get on TV? Which would be creepy.
