How to get a free US iTunes account Non-Americans can't get an American iTunes store account without a valid American bank account, which is really annoying.→[More:]But using this system will get you a free account that will allow you to grab the weekly free downloads. And if you can get some American gift certificates you can download the other stuff that is frustratingly only on the American store.

No, PayPal doesn't work either. You get a message that the service provider (ie, Apple) requires you to have valid US postal address. And there's me like a fool wanting to give them money for music! What an ass I am!
