Cranky "why" questions post -- Go! I'll start -- WHY do drivers turning left cut the corner into my lane, such that I have to slow to avoid the front left corner of their car?!

Why won't the neighbor behind our house take her laundry down? It's been hanging up there for four days now; whenever I look out my kitchen window I see her bras and stripey shirts. By now, they're dirty again and need to be rewashed. WHY?

She once left the laundry hanging up for six days. Yes, I counted, I admit it; stop yer handwringing.

Why are so many drivers unacquainted with the turn signal? Yes, even as a pedestrian I need to know whether you're going straight or turning right INTO ME! Turning it halfway through the turn you're supposedly indicating doesn't help much. I imagine other drivers would find more open communication on your part most helpful, too.

You'll regret your lack of sock hoarding when the world sock market collapses and we're all left to fend for ourselves with paper hospital slippers and whatever we can scrounge from stores abandoned in the Great Sock Panic.
